The denim material was thin, but not cheap. Very lightweight and breathable. The embroidery was stitched in really tight. No loose threads that needed to be trimmed off. There is a zipper on the side of the dress, and it moved up and down with ease. I really hate it when a zipper is tough to open and close, so this made me very happy!
