Honey Mustard BBQ Chicken Breasts

Disclosure- I received the mentioned product courtesy of the sponsor for the purpose of this review. All opinions are genuine, based on my experience with the product, and have not been influenced by promotional items.

Over the next few weeks we will be putting away all of our patio furniture, flower planters, outdoor knick knacks and doo dads in preparation for the winter months, but one thing will remain. The grill! We are year round grillers in this house. I don't care if there's 3 feet of snow outside, I'll grab the shovel, dig my way over, then fire that baby up. Why save a good thing only for summer months? We love to barbecue, but instead of using a bottled sauce on our last grilling session, I decided to make a simple homemade sauce that I found from Golden Blossom Honey. We made these Honey Mustard BBQ Chicken Breasts and they were divine! Well, Jason and the girls said they were. I grilled myself a veggie chicken cutlet from Morning Star Farms that was pretty bland, but once I basted the cutlets in the sauce, mmmmm!

Honey Mustard BBQ Chicken

The sweet and tangy sauce really gives this dish a nice rounded out BBQ flavor. Simple ingredients that can be whisked together quickly, basted over the chicken, then fired up on the grill make the whole dish perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients
1/2 cup GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY MUSTARD
1/2 cup chili sauce
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
2 chicken breasts, boned, skinned and halved
olive oil

My Favorite Summer BBQ Essentials

*Disclosure- I received the mentioned product courtesy of the sponsor for the purpose of this review. All opinions are genuine, based on my experience with the product, and have not been influenced by promotional items.

Did everyone have a great weekend? I know we did! I was so thankful for warm (and dry!) weather, good friends, and spending time with my family. On Saturday we hosted a cookout at our house, and enjoyed watching the kids twirl around sparklers in the yard.

Sparklers

Teens and Fireworks

Followed by a trip downtown to enjoy the city firework display!

On Sunday we went to my niece's house for another BBQ and swimming!

One of my favorite things about summer is getting together with friends and family, spending a lazy weekend eating good food and enjoying each others company. When I am hosting our cookouts, I don't want to spend a lot of time or money on our preparations. That's why I like shopping at CVS/pharmacy for my summer BBQ Essentials.

CVS has everything I need to help me save time and money on summer entertaining. The CVS/pharmacy Total Home line of products are high quality, yet affordable, and I can get all of my Summer BBQ Essentials in one stop.

Total Home Paper Plates and Party Cups, aluminum foil and storage containers make serving and cleaning up after guests a breeze.

Total Home Sanitizing wipes keep areas germ free. I also like to keep sunscreen on hand, as well as insect repellant so I can spend more time chatting with my guests instead of swatting at pesky mosquitoes all day!

Easy to access snacks are always a hit too! CVS/pharmacy has an amazing selection of party favorites from Gold Emblem to choose from! CVS Gold Emblem Beef JerkyGold Emblem Almonds, and Gold Emblem Sour Cream & Onion Potato Chips are all excellent options!

If you are doing any summer cookouts or picnics this year, CVS/pharmacy has all you need to make outdoor entertaining a success!

You can find all your summer BBQ Essentials at your nearest CVS/pharmacy or at www.cvs.com.

Homemade Sweet & Tangy BBQ Sauce

Did anyone grill on Memorial Day? It was cold, it was rainy, and it was miserable here this year. However, we didn't let that stop us from firing up the grill. We love ribs and used to get them from this little mom and pop setup until they went out of business a few years back. The meat was just ehhh, but their sauce was top notch, and sadly we have yet to find anyone else whose sauce compares. Since then, I have been experimenting with different homemade recipes and have found one that I think beats all others. I wouldn't dream of using any old sauce out of a bottle now. It's homemade all the way! This Sweet & Tangy BBQ Sauce will tickle your taste buds and will have you craving BBQ year round!
