Golden Blossom Honey Makes Baking So Sweet!

*Disclosure: This post was brought to you by Advertise with Bloggers and Golden Blossom Honey I received a sample of the product for the purpose of a review. No monetary compensation was provided. All opinions stated are my own.

I always keep honey stocked in my house, but it seems that when fall rolls around, I tend to use it a bit more. I prefer to sweeten my tea with honey over sugar, it is great for sore throats, and most of all, it tastes so good on some warm breakfast bread! I normally pick up a few bottles from my local farmers market, but I recently had the opportunity to try a new to me brand called Golden Blossom Honey.

Golden Blossom Honey

Golden Blossom Honey - Genuine Natural Pure Honey is unique mix of 3 different honeys, sourced 100% from the U.S.A. All of their honey is certified Kosher by the Orthodox Union. When you buy U.S. Honey, you support American Beekeepers and American Agriculture.

Golden Blossom Organic White Forest Honey is sourced from the White Forest Region in Northeast Brazil, and is a 100% Pure Product of Brazil. 1% of Organic sales are donated to Pollination Planet, which helps to educate Beekeepers and the public on the importance of saving bees and other pollinators so we can protect our food supply.

I've sampled a lot of honey over the years, and Golden Blossom Honey is definitely high quality honey. It has a smooth consistency and rich delicious flavor, just what I look for in honey!

I was recently in the mood for some honey bread, and thought I'd browse the Golden Blossom Honey recipes. I was almost as impressed with their vast recipe selection as I was with the honey! The recipe section is so huge, you can pretty much find any recipe that includes honey right on the website! I found this Honey and Yogurt Raisin Bread recipe and knew it was going to be something I was going to love to have for breakfast with my normal cup of hot tea.

Honey Raisin Bread

Honey and Yogurt Raisin Bread

Ingredients
2 3/4 cups flour, sifted
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
2 Tablespoons shortening
1/2 cup GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup plain yogurt
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions
Preheat oven to 325°. Grease a 9x5x3-inch loaf pan. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Beat egg, shortening and honey in bowl. Stir in flour mixture alternately with milk and yogurt just until dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in raisins and pecans. Spoon into pan. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center tests clean. If browning too fast, cover with foil. Remove bread from pan to rack. Let stand overnight before slicing.

The bread came out so moist and delicious, and it was to die for when topped with some whipped honey butter!

Honey Butter

To make the whipped honey butter, blend 1 softened stick of unsalted butter with 1/4 cup of Golden Blossom Honey with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
