Touring Beautiful Rock City

Last summer, Jason and I took the girls to Rock City, located just a few miles from Chattanooga, TN. Featuring massive rock formations, it's really a must see if you are planning a trip to the area. The first thing I loved was seeing that it was a self-guided tour, so you can take your time walking through the gardens, getting to enjoy the beauty of the place at your own pace.

  

 

Sitting 1700 feet above sea level, you get spectacular views, including a view of 7 states on top of "Lovers Leap". 

In the heat of the summer, touring though the shady rock caverns was a welcomed relief!

But the real jewel is the 100-foot waterfall on the side of the mountain.

We spent several hours exploring Rock City, as well as their Fairyland Caverns. Well worth the $20 price per person admittance fee. It was definitely one of the highlights of our Tennessee vacation, and I'd love to return if we ever pass through the area again.
