Dermagist Hydro Renewal Hand Cream Review

The skin on my hands take a beating year round. Being the primary caregiver in our house, I feel that I am constantly washing and sanitizing my hands. This makes my skin overly dry, and in the winter months, cracked and bleeding. Though I try to moisturize as much as possible, I still find my hand skin always has a rough feel to it. When Dermagist offered me the opportunity to review one of their products, I knew that their Hydro-Renewal Hand Cream was something I literally couldn’t wait to get my hands on.

About the Hand Cream

Did you know that appearance of hands can make a person look older than they are? Our hands are exposed to natural elements more than any other part of the body, resulting in wrinkles, age spots and discoloration. The Hydro-Renewal Hand Cream is a deep nourishing hand cream that not only moisturizes, but provides anti aging benefits as well. The nourishing ingredients replenish dry skin, while peptides target wrinkles and age spots, leaving hands soft, smooth and youthful in appearance.

My Thoughts

My first impression of a product always starts with the packaging. I really liked the size and shape of the 4 oz bottle. It was very easy to hold in one hand and pump the product into the other hand with no fuss. One pump allowed enough product to fully cover each of my hands. The hand cream had a great consistency- not thin, but not overly thick either. It was just right. The cream has a nice, light citrus scent. It absorbed easily into my skin and was fully dry within about a minute. My skin is sensitive and can become irritated with the use of some lotions and creams, but I did not have any negative skin reactions with use of the product. I was very impressed with how smooth and soft my hands felt after application!

I was just out to lunch with my friend and her newborn baby. I kept running my fingers over the newborn’s skin and said to my friend “I can’t believe how soft a baby’s skin is. Wouldn’t it be nice if our skin stayed like a newborn’s forever?” She agreed and said she often found herself reminded of the feeling of velvet when she ran her fingers over his skin. When I tried the Dermagist Hydro- Renewal Hand Cream I thought back the the word my friend used. “Velvet.” There isn’t a better word I could use to describe how my hands feel after I use this hand cream. My hands feel almost like I have the skin of a newborn baby. My husband, who has had his hands roughed up by years of warehouse work, has also started using the hand cream and it is making a huge difference on his big, rough callouses!
